Teenage Dreamer Queen

What is a dream?

A dream begins in the heart, formulates in the mind, and after, comes to life before your eyes.
It’s an expressions of what I want out of life, of who I truly am.
It’s spreading the joy I want in the world, whether it is simple or not.
It’s bringing out the best in myself and showing people what I have.

I have many dreams in life.
I often use the word “dreamer” to describe myself.
I grew up with the sense that if I had my heart set on something, I would have direction in my life, and I would end up really happy.

They say that it’s better to put the things we’ve always wanted in front of us so that we can attract what we think. So, here goes nothing- actually, everything, in my case.

1. I’m a sucker for traveling. I’ve been just to one country (Japan) the past 8 years of my life and those moments have been nothing short of amazing for the reason that I'm just a kid at that time when I went there to attend the graduation of my elder sister.
One of my dreams is to travel the whole world or the “must-see” countries at least. I just love immersing myself in another culture and in an entirely different place. I still have so much more to see and experience, to capture and learn.

2. “I want to be a psychologist, like the mom in Freaky Friday.” To give a clear definition of what I want my career to be, that is what I say all the time. I just find the human mind and behavior so interesting. There’s so much you can discover. More than that, I want to be able to help people get through their problems and being a psychologist will definitely do that.
But guess what? I ended taking up the course of accountancy. Well, it's fine after all.

3. I love writing and I love fashion. The one venue I’ll be able to do both is a fashion magazine. I would love to be part of a magazine that will allow me to write for them and to style their photo shoots. I can maybe be a writer for ELLE mag? A stylist for US Seventeen? Or how about the next editor-in-chief of Reader's Digest? They all sound great to me.

4. What kind of girl doesn’t fall in love with weddings? Everything about it is just stunning—the dress, the flowers, the food, and of course the love that lingers in the air. I have a dream wedding—actually, I already have so many ideas. Should I have it in another country? Should I make it a celebrity-inspired one? There’s so much I can do! I just want it to be perfect.
But hey! Don't get me wrong, I don't have any plan to get married yet! I'm too young for such kind of life-changing decision in my life.

I dream of this because I want to be happy.
I want to be fulfilled and successful.
I want to make the most out of God’s wonderful creation.
I want to be able to look back at my life and make it worth watching.

How about you? What are your dreams? :)

My LiveJournal

Here I am, just staring at my computer screen, with nothing to write.

I can’t say I have writer’s block, since I don’t really consider myself a writer, even if I’d love to do so. I think of myself as more of a reader than a writer, since most of what I write is more for my personal expression anyway. Aside from academic papers, exam essays, and the occasional article in the school paper way back in grade school and high school, I don’t really write much outside of my journals. But my journals are secretly my pride and joy. I’ve kept them since grade 5 or 6, I think, even if I didn’t really take it seriously yet. Back then, it was just a school requirement, but the habit stuck. I wrote all sorts of weird things in my journals back then; I think it was filled with doodles, drawings and the occasional FLAMES of my name and my crush (hahaha), aside from the usual account of my day. I had always complained inwardly that my hand moved too slowly for the thoughts in my head, but still, I persisted. I wrote and wrote and wrote.

I was the happiest child in the world when I discovered online journals! Hooray for technology. Hahaha. My very first online journal was made in fourth highschool, in wordpress.com. Then I discovered Tabulas, Blogspot, Xanga, Livejournal, and even made accounts in all of them (NOT actually all of them) , but abandoned most. It was only my Livejournal that stuck with me for four years—from second year high school till today.

Although I love blogging—the typing, the open to the public function, and not to mention the convenience, for me—nothing beats good old pen and paper when it comes to writing my thoughts down. On one hand, blogging can be so interactive now, with the photo posting option, the comments, and all of that. But at the end of the day, it’s leafing through yellowed pages filled with my really ugly scribbles that I love. It’s that candy wrapper I inserted between the pages or the flower I tried to preserve that day that I look for. It’s seeing how my writing (and handwriting, haha) has evolved through the years, and how I can just end up laughing at my endless rambles about mundane things, and rants about petty fights.

Whoops, think I just rambled again right there. This entry is filled with my rambling! Forgive me. Hahaha. But still, I’m glad I didn’t abandon my journal writing years ago, or else I wouldn’t be writing this blog entry right now! :)) Hmm, maybe I can call myself a writer just like my elder sisiter, who knows? Hahaha.

Saturday Scavenger Hunt : CHIPPED

This Week's Theme: Chipped

These are chipped sea shells.

My mother gave this to me some years ago. I think more than 5 years already.

This shells came from one of the provinces here in the Philippines which is in LEYTE. She went there for a short vacation and this is her pasalubong or souvenir for me as she came back here in our place.

My mother knows how I love to collect things a lot such as stamps, stationery, etc. And she also knows that I'd love to make some creative stuffs like making my-own-style bracelets or earrings.

I always had plan to use this shells in making such fashionable-creative stuffs but it ended up stuck in the Tupperware where I put them.

Yes, I know there nice and very pretty shells but I don't have any time even to make one.

But I'm glad and amazed that when I open the Tupperware earlier, it's still the way how it looks just like I saw this some years ago.
