My Summer Class

I know it's been a while since I posted an update but I'm really sorry. I'm too busy this summer that's why I did not post any.

Hello everyone! I hope you’re enjoying the first day of classes, or that you do enjoy your first day of classes if it doesn’t happen to be today. Personally, I’m kind of wondering where summer went but that’s probably because I’m one of those crazy students who took straight six hours of summer classes from 10:40 am til 4:oo pm and got an amazingly short two week break before it would be the enrollment for next semester. It could have been worse but luckily my classes were all pretty organized and mostly my professors we're cool and very nice (I wished) so aside from the “lack of summer” aspect and mostly 'NO eating at lunch time', I can’t complain much.

For many students, summer is a time to take a break from school. They might travel, see some old friends, work a little more to make extra money or just catch up on sleep. Other students take a different path. They opt to continue classes through the summer. The reasons behind this decision are often as varied as the students on campus.

Every college girl – hell, every college student knows that school requires a lot of sacrifices. You give up things that you would have never otherwise dreamed of giving up beforehand. I’m entirely guilty of that (and don’t act like some of you aren’t, either), I’ve been taking my summer vacation for granted for years now, just vegging out, doing a little summer work, and reading.

I NEED to graduate in 2010; with the way tuition is, I can’t afford another semester or even another year. So since I was a little underweight in the distribution section, I decided to do what any smart, responsible college student would do; I signed up for summer classes.

Summer classes are no joke. They last just about a month, maybe a little bit longer. You’re learning things that are usually spread out throughout a semester, but crammed together into four weeks. It’s fast-paced, hectic, and time-consuming. It’s even harder if it’s a subject you’re not familiar with.

I'm taking BM13 and 2 Math subjects, the famous statistics and struggling calculus. Mind you, I’m already pretty well knowledgeable in this Maths since high school. But now that it’s pretty much being crammed down and even I’m having some difficulty.

If you’re taking summer classes, you can’t afford to be the slacker you might be tempted to be when those obscenely hot summer days roll around. You have to go to every class, because so much material is packed into one day that even that one absence can screw you over. You know that model student you promise you’re going to be in the beginning of the semester, but it eventually goes downhill? That’s the way you’ve gotta be during summer courses. Take notes, study, do all your homework, show up to every class, and ask questions. If you’re confused about something and you don’t take the chance to ask the professor right then, you’re pretty much screwed in terms of hoping it’s gonna come back up again to clarify itself. Trust me, it ain’t gonna happen.

The good thing about summer classes is that it’s over pretty quickly. Like I said, they range from about four to five weeks. After that, you never need to look at that Statistics or Baby Bio book again. They’re also pretty convenient, it’s a little painful, but faster and even easier in the long run.

Well, I’ll continue this on another day to avoid writing you a novel, but good luck with classes and until the next post, take care.

Dream Destinations

It’s still summertime! Summer is the most wonderful time of the year, (as I always say) don’t you think? It’s the time when we can do anything we want. One of the main reasons why I love summer is it’s the best time to T-R-A-V-E-L, one of my favorite things to do! But unfortunately this summer season is NOT the best time to travel because I'm having my summer classes and the fact that the world is struggling for financial crisis these days. This summer, if I had the resources to travel as much as I want to, I would gladly visit these wonderful places:

1.
Santorini, Greece
Just look at that spectacular view. Imagine sitting on the steps and facing that blue ocean. Wouldn’t that be paradise? I first fell in love with Santorini when I watched the Sisterhood of Traveling pants. I love how it’s so different from the city. Their culture is definitely unique and their surroundings are just a breath of fresh air. I would do anything to go there and bring my friends with me, too. Now that would be an awesome summer.

2.
Amanpulo, Palawan
Three words: TO DIE FOR. I once watched an episode in television and the host was in that place together with co-hosts and they said that everything they spent for was worth it. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, this is the place to go. And the best part is it’s right here in the Philippines. Just look at that crystal blue water and that white sand. Who wouldn’t love to relax in that?

3.
Tokyo, Japan
Together with my mother and father, we visited Japan during the summer of 2001 and it was one of my fondest memories as a child because it was such a blast. we went there to attend the graduation of my elder sister, and on those days that we've been there, I experienced going to places I've never been to such as entering their huge malls and meeting 'weird' Japanese faces in the train lols!. and We went to Tokyo Disneyland (which is probably the biggest theme park in the planet), . We always had somewhere to go to and it was FUN.

4. Paris, France
Paris will always be at the top of my list! I just want to stand in front of the Eiffel Tower and have my picture taken. I want to visit the Louvre and see the ever famous Mona Lisa. I want to try out their delicious food and just immerse myself in true Parisian culture. Going on an adventure and seeing how these Europeans live is always fun. And it’s Paris, you know? Need I say anything more?

5. Sydney, Australia
It’s time to move down South and see what Sydney has to offer. I had never been in Australia but soon I will eventually land in that place. It is such a beautiful place. As I've red in the internet Darling Harbour is intended to be one of Sydney's "buzz" places ( pronounced by Australians as DAH-LING HA-BOH) is my next destination if I will land there because it is just so vibrant, so full of life and energy, even at night. And lastly, I would like to watch a concert in the Sydney Opera House though I'm not fond of anything theatrical but Sydney is definitely a beautiful place and I would love to go.

Talking about all these places makes me want to visit them so bad. I just love experiencing new and exciting things, especially in another country and culture! I’m crossing my fingers and hoping that next year I'm having the best time of my life and it’s going to be one of these places! I hope you have an awesome summer, filled with wonderful memories! Cheers to the most wonderful time of the year! :)

R.O.S rain on summer?

A welcome respite from the intensifying March summer heat, earlier this afternoon is greeted with pouring rain.

Did I just say rain? what the heck!

Well, it is just very unusual when it rains during summer. But this phenomenon is currently happening in my country.

Having occasional rainfalls during summer isn't really new but it's also not common. Some said that these rains of the summer is the effect of the rapidly changing atmosphere of the planet earth. Some are saying that this is normal and happens once in awhile. Well, for some it's ok and some find it annoying.

Actually, for me it is very okay. In a sense that I enjoy the cool air we missed during this season and yes! I almost forgot, I had always been thinking watering our plants. Since our plants over here is almost dead because of the heat of the sun and also! My mother had always been reminding me to do this kind of chore even before she left abroad. She just love plants so much! specially orchids!

But heaven just soo good to do the chore for me. Now I'm pretty sure our plants will not be dead terribly as they have already sipped much water they need to.

To my mother: 'Hello ma! Your plants are not yet all dead. Well, some of them are. But don't worry they've been taking care of themselves even without my help lols. You see they are still healthy! Here is one of your fave.'

How to spend a Great Summer

13 Ways To Kick Off A Great Summer

School’s out! It’s the perfect time for some Me Time—and I've got 13 great ways to spend it!
Might as well you want to know about it...soo here it is! Of course you can follow this tips!

13. Stuff all my school books into the deepest, darkest corner of my room.

12. Getting on my blog to keep me busy during the summer days.

11. Buy a hammock.

10. Since we don't have air conditioner at home, I would turn the electric fan on full blast, and sleep the afternoon away.

9. Buy a kikay kit full of beach beauty products. (If ever I can go to a beach)

8. Turn up the volume, and sing my favorite song really loud while jumping up and down on my bed.

7. Get on the Internet and search for something new and cool sites.

6. Get a foot scrub and a pedicure so I can start wearing my summer flip-flops. But I usually do foot scrubbing and pedicure on my own skill and talent. yeah!

5. Buy my favorite ice cream and not be afraid to eat it. Even if it would be a 1 gallon of ice cream!

4. Take a bath at least 3 times a day.

3. Playing my sport- tennis together with my colleagues.

2. Practice my backstroke. In case, I will be going to some swimming activity.

1. Lastly...is to CHILL out this SUMMER! Beat the Summer heat by eating 'Halo-halo', ice cream, drinking uber chilled coke, ice tea and even eating ice! Which is one of my hobbies of all time!
